West’s pal went to a lot of effort to clear up infidelity rumours at the BET Awards, Beyoncé suggested the exact opposite during a performance in Ohio. The 32-year-old changed the lyrics of her unreleased track, Resentment, which is about a woman who has been cheated on to ‘I’ve been riding with you for 12 years’ rather than ‘I’ve been riding with you for six years.’
Beyoncé, who has been with Jay for 12 years immediately got tongues wagging by changing the lyrics to the song, which she performed in a white veil and wedding dress.
Lyrics in the emotional track also include ‘just can’t seem to get over the way you hurt me’ and ‘I gotta look at her in the eyes and see she’s had half of me.’ The state of Bey and Jay’s marriage has been subject to scrutiny since the 44-year-old was attacked in a lift by Solange Knowles while his wife looked on.
