Judiciary Workers Threaten to Resume Strike

The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has threatened to resume the indefinite strike which it recently suspended over the refusal of the forum of Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) Commissioners to respect the constitution to make judicial funds a first line charge.
JUSUN, in a statement signed by its National President, Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu lamented that despite the MoU which was signed to ensure the suspension of the strike, the forum is insisting that it cannot meet the union's demands, due to a shortfall of revenue.
He expressed surprise  that the forum which claims it cannot implement a court order did not bother to appeal the order, yet went ahead to sign an MoU with the union.

The union also announced plans to convene an emergency meeting of its National Executive Council (NEC) August 30, 2014 to deliberate on the what it described as an impasse.
