Omeruo’s Chelsea future threatened

One of Nigeria’s stand out performer at the World Cup, Kenneth Omeruo may not be wearing the Blue jersey of Chelsea this season if news surrounding the player is anything to go by.
According to The Gazette, Chelsea aren’t overly keen for the Nigerian international, Omeruo to taste Premier League football and a likely loan move to Middlesbrough looks positive.

Omeruo, who played all four games Nigeria played at the World Cup had been earlier linked with a loan move to newly promoted QPR, but a move to Teesside looks positive, as Boro remained hopeful to get back the Nigerian, who they had a taste of his quality in the second half of last season.
Gazette understood that authoritative Jose Mourinho has already told his close friend, Aitor Karanka that he would like Omeruo to play for Boro in the Championship.
The defender took his chances with the senior national team after he played for the national  U-20 football team, Flying Eagles that reached the last eight at the FIFA World Cup in Colombia 2011, and that had seen him play at the biggest competition in Africa (AFCON), played at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and at the biggest football competition in the world, the FIFA World Cup. His debut for Nigeria was against Cape Verde in January 2013.
Omeruo had long before now expressed a desire to return to Middlesborough, where he enjoyed a successful loan spell over the second half of last season, but QPR might just attract him with Premier League football.
The Nigerian who is at the moment on his summer break, following his appearance at the World Cup with the Super Eagles of Nigeria is due back to London next week and most likely a final decision about his next move would be taken then.
